“As from 1st July 2013, CE Marking will be a legal requirement”

  • But who knows what that legal requirement is?
  • Which components does it affect?
  • Who is responsible for CE Marks?

How will they affect you? Well actually, it is the Construction Products Regulation (CPR) that comes into force on 1st July 2013. From this date all new Industrial Doors (except Fire Shutters) must have a Declaration of Performance (DoP) and carry the CE marking based on the doors performance using the harmonised standard EN 13241-1:2003 & A1:2001.

As the manufacturer and supplier, you are responsible to ensure your Shutter meets the requirements of CPR and is accompanied by the relevant DoP.
