Gears, Pinions, Platewheels & Sprockets

NVM offer a comprehensive range of Gears, Drive Pinions and Transmission Drive including Platewheels and Sprockets.

Gears are available from stock in a range of Bore sizes and types including Plain Bore, fitted with Oilite Bush or Bearing and in a range of Diametric Pitch sizes including 4dp, 5dp, 6dp and 3/4"CP, whilst Transmission Drives are available in 1/2", 5/8", 3/4" and 1" Pitch, although other pitch sizes are available to order..

• Barrel Gears can be Cast Iron with 3 or 4 Fixing Lugs or Solid Boss, or Steel with a Welded Ring, and to suit Tube sizes 4" Ø - 10" Ø.
• Drive Gears are available in Steel, Cast or Plastic options. Steel Gears can be supplied plain or counterbored and recessed for fitting to Bearing & End Blocks.
• Idler Gears and Compound Gears are available in Cast, Steel and Plastic Options.
• Drive Pinions are available drilled and tapped for Grub Screws and with either Plain Bore, Oilite Bushed or with a Keyway.
• Transmission Drive stock includes Platewheels from 30T up to 72T, Drive Sprockets from 9T up to 45T and Drive Chain complete with Con Links, Half Links and Offset Links. Pitch sizes start from 1/2" up to 2" although other Pitch sizes are available to order.
• Worm Gears, Mitre Gears and Mitre Pinions are all available to suit Manual Fire Shutters. Gear are manufactured using Cast Iron or Steel depending on the Product and are supplied with Bearings where applicable.
