North Valley Metal offer a range of high quality Fire Shuuter Motors and Fire Shutter Operators. NVM Fire Shutter Motors work in conjunction with either a Solenoid or Fusible Link to release the internal braking system which allows the Motor to operate without power and the Fire Shutter to close under a controlled descent.
Fitting the Fire Shutter Motor with a Re-Settable Soleniod enables connection to a Fire Alarm System, where the Solenoid receives a Fire Alarm Signal and releases the braking system.
Connecting an NVM Fire Shutter Motor to a Fusible Link allows the operation of a Fire Shutter where there is no power at all including no Fire Alarm Signal as the Fusible Link is triggered purely by heat. Once triggered, the Braking System is released and the Fire Shutter will automatically close under controlled descent.
NVM Fire Shutter Motors are available as a Motor only or supplied in a Kit complete with Endplates, Shafts, Discs, Bearings and Transmission Drive including Chain, Sprocket and Platewheel. The Transmission Drive is pre-assembled onto the Drive Endplate, whilst the Dummy Endplate is pre-drilled for the Flange Bearing and Shaft.
The NVM Fire Shutter Motor is 3 Phase with a Lift Capacity of up to 600kgs, and is supplied pre-wired with a 3 Phase Screwless Plug, Low Volt 3 Button Station and Low Level Manual Haul Chain for Manual Override.
There is a Deadman On/Off Function, Photocell Function, a Remote Control Function and Volt Free 3 Button Station.
Each Motor is supplied with 6 metres of Power Cable to the Plug, 6 Metres of Cable to the 3 Button Station and a 6 metre loop of Haul Chain.
North Valley Metal supply a wide range of quality Flange Motors. Flange Mounted / In-Line Motors are ideal where space is a premium or where Shutters are Between Fix, tight to a wall or other obstruction, as the Flange Mounted Motor is fixed to the inside of the Drive Endplate and is parallel to the Shutter Barrel.
NVM offer a range of Flange Mount In-Line Motors in both Single Phase and 3 Phase power and Lift Capacities up to 1500kgs
The NVM Flange Mount In-Line Motor has a Deadman On/Off Function, Photocell and Safety Edge Functions, Remote Control Function and is fully reversible which eradicates the need to carry stock of separate motors for Left Hand and Right Hand installations.
The NVM In-Line Motor is supplied completely pre-wired with a Single or 3 Phase Plug and a Low Voltage 3 Button Station. Cable and Haul Chain Lengths vary from 4.5 metres to 8.0 metres depending on the Endplate Kit or Shutter Height (Just specify when ordering).
All NVM Flange Mount In-Line motors are supplied with Manual Override, Low Level Haul Chain and Controlled Descent,
NVM Flange Motors are designed to bolt onto the Endplate using a Flange Adaptor which has a 1" Shaft with a Keyway. The Shaft allows either a Transmission Sprocket or Drive Pinion to be fitted which will drive the Platewheel or Drive Gear that is fitted to the Barrel Assembly. The length of the Keyway enables the Transmisison Sprocket or Drive Pinion to be positioned directly in line with the Platewheel or Drive Gear.
By varying the ratio between the Drive End of the Barrel and the Drive Sprocket or Drive Pinion on the Motor Shaft the Speed and Lift Capacity can changed. For example a 150nm Flange motor using a 3:1 Ratio changes the lift capacity to 450nm. But it would also change the speed from 24rpm to 8rpm.
NVM offer Flange Motors supplied with either Separate Starter of Built-On Starter.
Separate Starter Control Panels offer a wider choice for functionality including Remote Control, Safety Edge & Photocell, Manual Switch and Light Barriers. All Control Panels are supplied pre-wired and fitted with the appropriate Phase Plug and 6 metres of Cable.
Built-On Starters offer limited functionality including Manual Switch and an N/C-N/O Terminal which will accept Photocells. The Built-On Starter is pre-wired with a Low Voltage 3 button Station on 6 metres of Cable and supplied pre-wired with an appropriate Phase Plug on 6 metres of cable.
All NVM Flange Motors have Manual Override, D Clutch & Low Level Haul Chain, and separate Shaft Release System. This system is extremely useful when lining up existing Keywayed Shafts.
NVM Flange Motors are supplied with Torque Bracket, Toggles, Haul Chain, Flange Adaptor with Shaft and Keys. Kits are also available including Endplates, Dummy Ends Barrel Assembly Drive Ends, all to your own specification.
